Head of Rights

Our client is a trade publishing organization based in London who is looking for a Head of Rights to join their team. This is a great opportunity for an experienced foreign rights professional to plan and carry out sales activities across all markets.

Key duties:

  • Increase rights sales across all territories, including UK, US and European territories
  • Deliver rights commercial budgets and manage profit centre of rights sales
  • Manage and develop sustainable relationships with literary agents, authors and licensors
  • Participate in the publishing strategy on the rights perspective
  • Attend and organise company presence at book fairs and conduct sales to territories

Experience / skills required:

  • Established experience in a foreign rights role, within trade publishing
  • Good track record of rights sales and negotiations
  • Established network of contacts in the UK and international market
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Willingness to travel
