Head of Rights (licensed, fiction, illustrated books)

A new role has come up with our client, a leading independent publisher of books, graphic novels and comics who have asked Think Selection to find a Head of Rights to manage and oversee their rights sales activities.

You’ll be responsible for the rights sales of genre fiction including crime, YA, sci-fi and horror, and high profile illustrated licensed entertainment tie-ins – across book, comic, graphic novel and audio formats.

Working closely with key stakeholders in sales, editorial, contracts and senior management and managing a Rights Executive, you’ll drive all foreign rights sales through selling direct and managing a small network of sub-agents, and you’ll attend the key international rights fairs.

We’re looking for someone with good rights sales management experience. A competitive salary is on offer to the successful candidate and you’ll be based from the company’s London offices at least 2 days per week.
