Head of Sales | Academic. This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading university press in the newly created position of Head of Sales. In this new position, you will drive their business forward and will develop new commercial opportunities for both books and journals, in print and digital formats. Leading the sales strategy on account management and new business development, you will report to the Chief Executive and will be a key member of the Executive Management Group.
You will be able to demonstrate your substantial academic publishing experience in a sales role and will have the proven ability to successfully manage a freelance sales team and external agents.
In this role you will work closely with internal colleagues within marketing, editorial and production and will need to be a proven team player however, you will further have the ability and experience to work on your own initiative.
Numerate and analytical, you will be a proactive leader with excellent collaborative and interpersonal skills of the highest level.
