Head of Subscriptions Sales

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for with this London based, media company. Our client is an international group with many companies including leading professional publishing houses around the globe and they are looking for an experienced senior manager with strong business and team management skills, able to launch the company into the subscription product market, with a modern product offering. They are looking for someone with a successful background in subscriptions and marketing, plus, experience of working with digital products. This independent company has set ambitious growth targets so this is a great opportunity for someone who feels excited about taking on new challenges, as they are keen to get the right person at the helm.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Focusing on the big picture strategy
  • Creating long-term plans
  • Ability to work on sales plans on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
  • Be able to achieve objectives in a more cross-functional role
  • Oversee and grow the business, identifying revenue opportunities
  • Understand key business performance indicators
  • Prepare annual plans for the business, set budgets and analyze the market and competition
  • Directing the day-to-day operations of the company and senior management team
  • Identifying new business opportunities
  • Negotiating with external contractors and securing agreements

The ideal person will be educated to degree level, or equivalent and have demonstrable experience at senior management level with a subscriptions background and be sales oriented. You will have the ability to manage a business and importantly, you will be an innovator, a decision maker, focusing on the bigger picture strategy! A strong team manager, you will have extensive experience in product development and marketing in addition to having the knowledge to implement the operational processes necessary to run the business.

Reporting to the Executive Board Member of the Group, this role has a high degree of autonomy and will require at least 2-3 days in the office, once restrictions are lifted.

The company offers a generous salary package, including monthly and annual bonus.
