The Role

As a Project Editor at HENI Publishing, you'll be at the heart of our mission to create visually stunning and commercially successful art and photography books. This pivotal position within our Publishing Team offers an exciting opportunity to help expand our art publishing.

We are open to considering full or part-time candidates for this role, as well as freelance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the entire lifecycle of book projects, from initial concept to publication and beyond
  • Collaborate closely with our design, production, and sales teams to ensure cohesive, high-quality outputs
  • Act as a passionate advocate for each project, ensuring it meets both artistic and commercial objectives
  • Curate and edit content that resonates with a broad, diverse audience in the art world and beyond

The Ideal Candidate

We're seeking a detailed, creative, driven individual with a proven track record in art and photography trade publishing. Your passion for visual storytelling should be matched by your keen editorial instincts and project management skills.

Essential Qualifications and Attributes

  • A minimum of 5 years demonstrated expertise in managing visually-led publications from concept to final product
  • Strong relationships with image libraries, authors, designers, and production teams
  • In-depth understanding of the art book market, particularly in the UK and USA
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational prowess
  • Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining the highest standards of quality
  • Creative problem-solving skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
