A leading Educational publisher in the UK is seeking a Sales Representative for their Higher Education division to promote their print & digital products across Western and Southern Europe. This is an office based sales role.
As part of the Higher Education sales team for the UK, the Sales Representative will be responsible for promoting key products and course-ware solutions, in print and digital format, to Higher Education institutions and academics throughout the territory with a view to maximising revenue and achieving the agreed sales target.
As the Sales Representative for this area you will be responsible for visiting the main HE institutions to promote the products and close sales, focusing on new business opportunities with particular emphasis on direct and institutional sales. You will be responsible for liaising with distributors and campus bookshops on a regular basis to highlight any new titles or promotions, enter data onto the CRM system, plan an effective calling itinerary for outbound calls in order to secure new business and act as a point of contact for all customers, responding to queries in a timely manner. You will also be responsible for arranging, preparing and giving presentations to key faculty decision makers and support marketing email campaigns.
The Sales Representative will be driven to achieve results with a strong customer focus and have a proven record of sales success within the educational publishing industry and/or selling digital and print products. Working independently as well as collaboratively will also be important, as will organisational and prioritisation skills. You will need to have flexibility to travel and a full driving license would be advantageous.
