Higher Education Sales Consultant - Scandinavia

Are you an experienced and successful sales professional looking for a new and exciting sales role within the educational/academic publishing sector? We are looking for a motivated individual to cover a portfolio of academic institutions within the Scandinavian territories which include Iceland, Finland, Norway, Sweden and Denmark, and the successful person will need to be based in the territory. A global publisher of educational products is looking to recruit an experienced and motivated HE Learning Consultant to join their sales department, to promote their highly successful products within the Scandinavian marketplace, through all reseller and distributor channels and direct sales of new print and digital adoptions to institutions and academics.  This is a field sales role.

Reporting to the Head of Sales, this crucial role will play a big part in maximising sales by visiting the major Higher Education institutions within the territory to promote the relevant products, in order to close key adoptions, and will focus on new business opportunities, with particular emphasis on digital and institutional sales.  You will also arrange, prepare and give presentations to key faculty decision-makers across all levels and departments of these Higher Education establishments.

The successful person will ideally be educated to degree level or equivalent, and will be a driven sales professional with a strong customer focus. You will have a proven record of success within academic or educational publishing sales, selling digital and/or print products, or you will have had experience selling digital and print products, with a minimum of 1 year’s field sales experience.  A full driving license is essential as is the flexibility to be able to travel throughout the territory, as well as some travel outside of your territory for conferences.  You will need to be fluent in verbal and written English (essential) and a knowledge of Swedish, Norwegian or Danish may be required.
