Higher Education Sales executive – In House

Are you an experienced and successful sales professional looking for a new and exciting sales role within academic publishing? A leading global publisher is looking for a highly motivated individual to drive and promote the sales of course textbooks by selling and developing relationships with lecturers and universities to expand their growing textbook adoptions.

You will take the lead role in the team for Institutional course purchase deals, as well as working with a portfolio of academic institutions

Some key responsibilities:

  • Create and implement sales strategies for the territory
  • Relationship management of a portfolio of higher education institutions
  • Developing alternative routes to market, including direct sales for print and digital content
  • Grow and maintain extensive product knowledge of a large and growing product list

With a customer-focused attitude and a consultative approach to selling, you will maximize sales through identifying customers’ needs and matching products to those needs. You will represent the company in gaining new business development opportunities and monitor sales of key adoptions to ensure relevant sell through is achieved.

You will have a proven track record in a sales environment including working towards sales targets along with experience of MS Office and Salesforce programmes. Your consultative approach to selling will be essential for hitting targets and you will be working closely with the rest of the sales team and with other departments therefore, strong communication skills and an enthusiastic approach are essential.

This role carries a generous salary and OTE plus a comprehensive benefits package and company pension scheme.
