Higher Education Sales Representative (Scandinavia)
We have an exciting Higher Education Sales Representative position available for the Northern Europe territory with an international academic publisher. Based in Northern Europe, you will be selling the Higher Education Book to all key lecturers in selected institutions in Scandinavia, using a needs-based selling approach, to generate adoptions.
Key duties:
- Achieve and exceed sales targets for the territory
- Identify and contact all key lecturers in selected institutions in Scandinavia
- Liaise closely with campus bookshops on a regular basis highlighting relevant key titles
- Collect feedback and consolidate it to the sales managers, editorial and marketing teams
- Manage travel and expenses effectively by proactively planning travel and customer visits across Scandinavia
Experience / skills required:
- Proven experience in a consultative sales or marketing role within a publishing context
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and preferably one Scandinavian language
- Effective in a variety of formal presentation settings with excellent negotiation skills
- Insightful and can effectively cope with change and make effective decisions
- An understanding of Academic publishing will be advantageous
