Higher Education Sales Representative - UK & Ireland

We are currently recruiting exclusively on behalf of WW Norton, an independent and employee-owned publisher of university textbooks. With particular strengths in English Literature, Molecular Biology, Economics and Psychology, they are currently looking for a self-motivated and resilient Higher Education Sales Representative to join their team.

As Higher Education Sales Representative, your role will be to grow sales for print and digital materials, as well as maintaining existing relationships and textbook adoptions at universities within your territory.

You will build knowledge of Norton's key titles and visit lecturers to understand the courses that they offer and the challenges for both instructors and students. You will present the advantages of Norton's titles against competing books. This will also include demonstrating online ancillary products that support the textbooks, including award-winning online assessment products that can be loaded and used within the institution's learning management system.

During university semesters you will normally spend 4 days a week on campus and one in the office to report, follow-up and plan. During university vacations, you will be office based in Soho, following up your sales opportunities, researching leads, planning and working with the team.

To be considered for the Higher Education Sales Representative role, you must:
·have a full, clean driving licence and be prepared to travel, which will include going to the USA twice a year for sales conferences.
·have excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing and be good at building long-term relationships
·understand the importance of detailed reporting (using the company's SalesForce CRM) as well as following-up opportunities to close sales.
·enjoy winning and success and be competitive!
