HR Advisor 6 months FTC

Do you have solid HR administration experience, great interpersonal skills and a passion for books?  A London books publisher is looking for an HR Advisor with prior experience to join its friendly and respected HR team. Your role will be to support two HR Advisors and an HR Manager currently responsible for delivering strategic HR initiatives in the area of Employee Engagement and HR advice.  You will also be the office point of contact for publishing colleagues, providing a friendly welcome and practical support and direction in answer to HR queries. Starting 25th November 2019 to May 2020.

Key duties:

  • Be the first point of contact and provide advice and support to publishing colleagues on HR Admin queries
  • Welcome new starters and process their starter documents
  • Produce and Process HR documentation
  • Check and edit the documentation for making employment offers, registering resignations, for contract changes
  • Checking Job Descriptions and recruitment text ahead of advertising
  • Update HR Intranet
  • Participate in and take notes at Employee meetings
  • Data entry for HR spreadsheets and systems
  • Logging and saving returned documents
  • Assisting with the administration of HR Projects

Experience / skills required:

  • Previous experience of HR Administration
  • Approachable and helpful at all times
  • Able to manage sensitive data and information
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good organisational skills workload, attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficient use of MS Office
