HR Assistant

 

Our client is a leading professional services organisation supporting the publishing industry based in Central London, they are seeking a HR Assistant to join their team on a 12 month maternity cover, responsible for supporting the Human Resources Director in a range of HR administration activities.

 

Working directly with the HR Director, the HR Assistant will be responsible for preparing, processing and verifying monthly payroll; taking responsibility for all recruitment through to advertising, interviewing and on boarding; supporting the management of the employee life cycle; keeping HR records up to date; maintaining accurate and up to date staff handbooks; identifying and actioning any training and development needs; and providing guidance and advice to staff on all HR related matters.

 

The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a busy, professional and confidential working environment within a HR role and supporting a HR Director, with a good understanding of broad HR processes. Outstanding communication skills and strong attention to detail are key for this role, as well as someone with good initiative and with the ability to hit the ground running. The perfect candidate will be proactive, reliable and trustworthy, with a great approach towards problem solving, and the ability to build strong professional relationships.
