HR Director

Our client is an established and successful innovative, fast paced and high growth publisher based in North London. They are now looking to hire an HR Director to join them to enable them to achieve even more.

We are looking for someone with a lot of drive and appetite to set up an HR function from scratch. To date, our client has used an HR consultancy but they are now wanting to bring this in-house to create an HR department. You must be comfortable working in a highly entrepreneurial environment.

This will be a hands on role where you will need to manage every aspect of the HR function so we are looking for someone with generalist experience.

In particular we are looking for someone who are has worked with sales teams and who comes with the following skills and experience:

  • Proven experience in HR Management at a senior level within a small to medium sized business environment
  • Evidence of continuous professional development experience, knowledge and understanding
  • Knowledge of all relevant employment legislation and best practice
  • A reputation and role model of unquestionable integrity, professionalism and discretion
  • Experience as an active and effective member of a Leadership Team
  • Ability to confidently articulate HR issues both verbally and in writing
  • Demonstrable resilience when working under pressure, prioritising competing needs and deploying a flexible approach to changing priorities
  • Confident and effective communication and engagement
  • Ability to think creatively and solve problems
  • Highly effective networking, influencing, interpersonal and collaboration skills and ability to establish good working relationships
  • Empathy and listening skills
  • Experience of staff management
  • Excellent attention to detail and a thorough, methodical approach
  • CIPD membership and qualification

This is a fantastic role paying Circa £70k, iwe look forward to hearing from you.
