Independent Bookshop Executive

Amazing opportunity for a confident Independent Bookshop Executive looking to progress in an autonomous and exciting new role!

Our client, a leading illustrated publisher is looking for an enthusiastic sales professional to look after all independent bookshop accounts outside of London. This role is a travelling position so you can be based remotely but you will have to travel into London for meetings at head office every couple of weeks. It is also essential for you to have a driving license.

This is a really interesting part of the business and they need someone who can hit the ground running. They will consider more junior level candidates who have been a bookseller or Sales Assistant with knowledge of the accounts with exceptional people-skills, but ideally you will already have experience in a similar position. The key responsibilities of the role include working to sales targets and building customer relationships; prepping sales materials and planning annual strategy; researching business development opportunities.

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, highly organised and confident speaking to customers. You must have excellent communication and liaison abilities, direct sales experience is desirable and you must be commercially aware.
