Institutional Sales Manager

A leading academic journals publisher with international prestige is looking to appoint an Institutional Sales Manager to represent the journals product portfolio and be responsible for global journal print and online sales. This role offers an open location, a competitive salary and benefits package, alongside the opportunity to work for a widely recognised global academic publisher.

Reporting to, and working closely with the Head of Sales, the main remit of the Institutional Sales Manager will be to develop and implement an annual journals sales plan to identify pipeline, areas of focus, key customers and revenue opportunities in order to grow the company's adoption base, by developing and maintaining relationships with key decision-makers at all levels via face-to-face meetings and telephone conversations.

Responsibilities include:
·Grow institutional, individual, corporate and consortia sales of journals in line with attrition and new business targets.
·Manage subscription agents.
·Develop and maintain long-term relationships with key accounts, customers and libraries.
·Contribute to the journal strategy through market expertise.

With strong problem solving skills you will have solid experience of academic publishing including journal and/or subscription sales, and the ideal Sales Manager will have a strong customer-focus. You will also have a confident consultative sales approach and will be able to offer the most appropriate deliverable solution to your customer's requirements.
