Institutional Sales Manager | Academic | UK. A leading academic books publisher is looking to appoint an experienced Institutional Sales Manager to represent the company product portfolio to 5 key university clients who purchase institutionally.

You will grow the company’s adoption base, developing and maintaining relationships with key decision-makers at all levels via face-to-face meetings and telephone conversations. You will further support the UK field sales team on digital opportunities available through joint calling and mentoring on digital product, where necessary.

Responsibilities include:

  • Converting a pipeline of opportunities into adoptions at 5 key high-revenue institutions
  • Keep key stakeholders informed of progress and aware of competitor activity
  • Support colleagues on custom publishing and bundle sales

With strong problem solving skills you will have solid experience of academic publishing sales and good experience of what your customers’ needs are. You will also have a confident sales approach and will be able to offer the most appropriate deliverable solution to your customers’ requirements.

This role will involve some element of travel and occasional overnight staying away from home.
