International Sales Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and driven sales professional to join a leading Educational Publisher at the forefront of the international education space. Our client, based in London, is seeking an International Sales Manager to cover the Africa and South Asia regions. The role offers flexible / hybrid working being based 3 days in the company's central London office, and 2 days from home. The company offer a competitive salary and excellent benefits.

The Sales Manager will be responsible for promoting and maximising sales of print and digital educational products in Africa and South Asia through managing a network of agents, consultants and booksellers as well as providing customer support directly to schools in the region. Travelling up to 10 weeks of the year (when safe travel resumes), your role will entail:

  • Offering excellent customer service to schools, booksellers and agencies in the region
  • Managing relationships with agents and booksellers
  • Reporting on market conditions, budgets and forecasts
  • Working closely with team members to offer training and development
  • Ensure overseas representatives are kept informed & trained on new print & digital products
  • Identify new markets and revenue streams in the region to achieve sales growth
  • Attend in-house meetings to share market feedback and to help inform future publishing and marketing strategies.

Ideally the Sales Manager will have experience of international publishing sales, within the area of education, or a related sector. It might suit someone who is currently a Sales Executive or similar, looking for a step up. The successful candidate will have strong communication and presentation skills, and great enthusiasm to achieve success. The ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team would be useful, as well as being exceptionally organised, numerate with strong interpersonal skills.
