International Sales Manager – 6 Month contract Trade Publishing

We have a fantastic new opportunity with an award-winning publisher within their International Sales Team for a 6 month contract.  We are looking for an experienced and motivated International Sales Manager to work with the wider international team (North America, NZ/Australia, S. Africa and India) and work with their sister companies within these regions as the primary contact in the UK. 

Reporting to the Head of International Sales, you will be responsible for implementing a successful programme in these regions, driving sales for both the frontlist and backlist across all the imprints, in both print and digital.  The International Sales Manager will also collaborate with the respective local teams, agreeing on key titles, setting targets and print estimates and coordinating marketing and publicity plans.

This is an exciting and dynamic role which is integral to the team, and the successful person will be of graduate calibre and have demonstrable relevant sales experience (preferably in international sales) from a publishing background.  You will possess strong negotiation and presentation skills as well as sound IT skills, including MS Word.  Experience/knowledge of some of the sales territories is desirable but not essential.
