Journals Marketing Manager

Journals Marketing Manager | Academic | Scotland. This is a brilliant opportunity to join a leading academic publisher in the position of Journals Marketing Manager, based in Scotland. In this role, you will support the revenue growth planned for the journal business through strategy implementation and will promote the company's brand both internally and externally within the academic library market.

Producing both print and digital marketing material, you will work closely with the Head of Marketing in addition to the journals editorial team as well as the books marketing team.

Responsibilities will include:

·Build strong acquisition and retention strategy to drive subscriber engagement and customer loyalty, as well as growth of new sales internationally
·Contribute to journal list strategy, including discussion of new journal proposals
·Produce and deliver the annual marketing plan for journals
·Plan and implement varied online and offline marketing activity
·Produce and deliver annual marketing plans for individual journals
·Use altmetrics and customer information to maximise marketing opportunities
·Liaise with book marketing and the journals team to generate publishing opportunities
·Produce advertising and media kits for journals as necessary
·Build relationships within journal publishing
·Sell subscriptions on stands at key meetings/conferences in the UK and overseas
·Maintain a broad overview of developments in journals publishing
·Some task management responsibility for marketing assistant.

If you have demonstrable experience of marketing journals to the academic library market, are an experienced Marketing Manager or possibly an experienced Senior Marketing Executive looking for your first managerial role, then do get in touch for further details.
