Junior Press Officer

A prestigious trade publisher of visual and illustrated books, based in East London, is seeking a Junior Press Officer. This is an exciting and varied role with responsibility for promoting a prestigious list of Photography, , Design,Cookery and Arts books to the media, as well as working alongside the Head of Publicity to promote key titles.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing, implementing and managing publicity campaigns,
• Planning and organising author events; and entering books for awards.
• Building relationships with Authors
• Attending meetings with journalists and growing your network
• Close collaboration on campaigns with overseas offices
• Assisting in event organisation
• Administration

The successful candidate will be proactive, highly confident and organised, with the ability to plan and implement creative and innovative media campaigns, organise events and develop excellent press contacts.

You will be a confident communicator, with the ability to influence others, and able to juggle a busy workload, with a passion for arts and beautiful books.
