Key Account Manager

Do you have an understanding of the supermarket/high street buyers and the children's book market? Are you passionate about books and commercially astute? We have an amazing KAM opportunity for you at a leading independent children's publisher! Based in their head office in South East London you will play a critical role in their team.

They are seeking someone with the talent and expertise to manage key accounts and build excellent relationships with retail customers. You will manage all aspects of your accounts, including frontlist and backlist sales and spend negotiation. This role will involve working closely with the buying teams to build strong and profitable sales, as well as developing first-rate working relationships with internal departments such as Marketing and Editorial.

You will also have the opportunity to input into acquisitions, cover design and the overall publishing process. The successful candidate will have a commercial awareness of book retailing and the ability to rapidly understand buying practices within this sector. A background in publishing or retail account management would be an advantage. You will also have excellent presentation and interpersonal/communication skills.
