Key Account Manager

An award-winning independent children's educational publishing company based on the London / Essex border have a great new role for a Key Account Manager / Sales Executive to join their friendly and supportive team, and contribute to their rewarding mission! This is a pivotal and varied role of Key Account Manager where you will: help develop sales and partnerships, raise the profile of the company's prestigious children's education products and increase their reach and impact across the world by building effective, lasting relationships with existing and potential customers. Responsibilities will include (amongst others):

  • coordinate and execute regular communication to key markets including retail, wholesalers, educational distributors and schools
  • develop relationships with key customers and build relationships with new contacts
  • lead discussions with customers
  • conduct research into the market
  • attend shows and events

The ideal Key Account Manager will have some prior experience in a customer focused, sales / account management role, and be confident nurturing and developing long lasting relationships. You will ideally have experience in publishing, or a related sector (education, children's literacy, EdTech, or otherwise), and will possess excellent communication, written and verbal, and have great organisation and presentation skills. Importantly, you will have an interest in children's learning / education. This role offers hybrid working (minimum 2 days per week) from the company's fantastic new offices on the London / Essex border (accessible from the tube).
