Key Account Manager (Children’s)

A leading independent children’s publisher is looking for a Key Account Manager to join their London office.  You will have a good understanding of the children’s book market and be dealing with a range of key accounts in the UK.

Key duties:

  • Manage a portfolio of UK key accounts and deliver strategies to drive sales
  • Develop positive relationships with customers and pursue new partnerships to deliver revenue growth
  • Negotiate sales terms and assist with group negotiations for your customer base
  • Work closely with Head of UK Sales to achieve frontlist targets by title
  • Manage budgets, plan travel expenditure and monitor spend against target

Experience / skills required:

  • Proven book sales experience from a trade publishing background
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to use own initiative and proactively seek new sales opportunities
  • Strong time management and organisation skills
  • Solid IT skills, especially on Excel
