Key Account Sales Executive or Key Account Sales Manager

A highly successful, and fast growing, educational services company with a prestigious, global client base have a fantastic opportunity for a Key Account Sales Executive or Key Account Sales Manager (level dependent on experience) to join their team of educational publishing experts. The role is based in their beautiful central Oxford office. The company offer a competitive salary and operate a 4 day / 28 hour full-time working policy, ensuring an excellent work - life balance!

The main remit of the Key Account Sales Executive or Manager, working closely with the Business Development Director, will be to maintain and develop excellent, long lasting, fruitful relationships with key clients, and through those, working to clear targets, you will identify, manage and close regular, fully costed business proposals. Responsibilities will include, amongst others:

  • To work closely with editorial and design teams to ensure each proposal is fully deliverable on a profitable basis
  • Create account growth plans for key clients
  • Close a high percentage of proposals each month
  • Manage relationships with 5-10 key accounts and many other smaller relationships
  • Spot opportunities to up-sell and cross-sell services
  • Support new business development projects and tasks, for example supporting international sales trips, c. 2 per year

The ideal Key Account Sales Executive or Manager will be commercially driven with proven consultative sales or account management experience, and have the ability to establish and develop strong working relationships. An interest in, and ideally exposure to, the educational publishing, EdTech, or education sectors would be highly valuable. Top notch communication, written and verbal, is essential, as is excellent organisation skills. Experience of writing and managing bids or tenders through a formal tender process would also be useful, but not essential.
