Key Accounts Sales Manager (Childrens/education/libraries)

A renowned childrens publishing house based in London seeking a candidate to increase sales of the educational/schools and library channels as part of a company growth strategy. This is a key strategic imperative for the UK Trade Division and achievement will be meeting sales targets by selling and representing company products. Developing short and long term strategies, which focus on both the customer and end-user to maximise sales to School, Educational and Library markets.

To visit Key Account customers (Education and Library) at head office on a regular basis to manage account and grow sales:

  • Presenting and obtaining subscriptions to new titles.
  • Taking orders from backlist and initiating backlist promotions.
  • Creating promotions and submitting suitable titles for bespoke promotions.
  • Working with PR to recommend author events for this sector and attend where necessary.
  • Building and maintaining customer relationships with key individuals.
  • Attending regular meetings and sales conferences.
  • Understanding of educational and library market
  • Experience childrens publishing
  • Experience within/working with book wholesalers
