Lead Content Development Editor

A global, not-for-profit Educational organisation is looking to appoint a Lead Content Development Editor. The organisation offers curriculum and assessment globally to children and young adults in addition to comprehensive professional development supporting schools and educators. Based in their offices in The Hague, the company offer a competitive salary and benefits package.

The Lead Content Development Editor's main remit will be to manage the English language editorial team, working on a variety of print and online publications, ensuring quality and timeliness of documentation by developing appropriate editorial standards, working practices, procedures and quality assurance tools; and by recruiting, supervising, training and coaching all English language editors. Other responsibilities include: sourcing, training and monitoring of external suppliers, allocation of work to internal and external resources.

The ideal candidate will have proven editorial experience in an Educational publishing environment, including dealing with external suppliers and experience of leading and managing a team. Excellent content development and copy-editing skills, as well as time management and organisational skills are key. You will have confidence with a variety of different technologies supporting traditional print and digital publishing.
