Learning and Qualifications Development Manager

One of the world's leading music education publishers has a fantastic new opportunity to join their team as a Learning and Qualifications Development Manager, based in their central London office. In return our client offers a competitive salary and excellent benefits.

The main remit of the Learning and Qualifications Development Manager will be to work on the development and ongoing review of the qualifications and assessments to ensure that each syllabus is relevant to the needs of learners and teachers. You will ensure the material is aligned to and supports the company's aim to enhance reach, impact and reputation and provide exam specifications that are engaging and relevant whilst demonstrate their responsiveness to changes and trends within music education internationally. Alongside supporting the development and review of qualifications and assessments, including the provision of appropriate exam specifications for existing and newly-designed qualifications, you will provide expertise and collaborate with colleagues on matters of pedagogy, curriculum, learning pathways and music education trends, and contribute to the organisation's network of external contacts. You will maintain a diverse pool of external contributors, experts and critical friends to assist with the review and design of qualifications and assessments; you will ensure you gain insight direct from learners and teachers in order to identify and implement improvements and to influence any assessment innovations.

The ideal Learning and Qualifications Development Manager will have good breadth and depth of knowledge of music pedagogy, a proven track record in music education, and be educated to at least postgraduate level in Music, Education or another relevant subject, (or with equivalent experience). Experience of the teaching and assessment of music at a range of levels is essential and it is likely that you will have some knowledge of the regulation/accreditation of qualifications. You must be accustomed to handling several projects concurrently and be able to evidence your ability to evaluate and interpret research and data to make evidence-based judgements and decisions.
