An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Licensing and Partnerships Manager to join the English Language Teaching (ELT) division of a leading global publisher where you'll form part of a supportive and friendly team! This role offers a competitive salary and benefits package, as well as remote or hybrid working, with the successful candidate being able to ideally visit the company's Oxford office c. once every two weeks, or as required, depending on where they are based in the UK.
The main remit of the Licensing and Partnerships Manager will be to develop collaborations with business partners that will generate new income for the area of ELT and help to put the company at the forefront of the EdTech landscape. You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining business relationships with a broad range of product and licensing partners in order to achieve sales targets. Other responsibilities include:
- Maintain an overview of the global educational technology market to be able to identify partnership targets and create analysis reports on segments of opportunity
- Evaluate new business opportunities
- Develop a broad pipeline of potential business opportunities with partners and manage the development of these leads
- Secure buy-in from business stakeholders for partner projects and present these for approval
- Negotiate effectively to minimize risk and maximize the return from new projects
- Advocate successfully with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that the partner projects meet their objectives
This is a varied and exciting role that will suit a Licensing or Partnerships Sales professional, ideally with a background in the publishing, education or EdTech space, or a related sector. You will be very commercially minded with the ability to prioritise business opportunities, and have a great entrepreneurial mindset. Good communication skills will be imperative, and negotiation skills will also be key. Familiarity with contracts and copyright would be highly beneficial but not essential.
