Editorial Assistant – Children’s Books

Salary competitive (SW London) – Hybrid working (3 days a week in our Fulham office)

Little Tiger Press has an opening for an entry-level editorial position. This is an ideal opportunity for an aspiring editor to join the Caterpillar Books imprint’s creative team in a varied role, working across picture books, novelty board and non-fiction. You will be responsible for handling reprints and supporting the editorial team on reformats and new titles as necessary. Tasks will also include checking proof material, preparing sales and publicity content to brief and contributing to creative development meetings. Meticulous attention to detail is essential, as is a passion for children’s books.

You will be:

  • A methodical, quick and organised worker, happy to juggle a busy workload and meet tight deadlines.
  • A friendly team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Proactive about liaising with different colleagues and departments to keep studio organisation running smoothly.
  • Creative, while able to work accurately to a brief, with a keen eye for detail.
