Senior Audio Editor

Working as part of a busy and dynamic team, as Senior Audio Editor you will oversee the audio publishing programme across multiple publishing imprints and ensure all audiobooks are managed and produced to the highest quality and delivered on time.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading projects through the publishing process, from casting to maintaining production budgets and schedules as well as collaborating with editorial colleagues and authors.
  • Championing the audio format across departments to promote and support the audiobook catalogue, from identifying backlist opportunities to producing original material.
  • Working with studio partners, directors and actors to bring audiobooks to life with innovative and exciting production techniques.

The successful candidate will:

  • demonstrate knowledge of and enthusiasm for audiobooks
  • be experienced in audio project management
  • be experienced in working across multiple projects effectively
  • be highly organised, with the ability to prioritise and manage workflow
  • be a creative thinker
  • be able to execute and manage tight deadlines
  • have strong numeracy skills and be able to manage invoices and budget effectively for each title   

We’d love it if you had…

  • Solid experience in audio publishing (essential)
  • A proven track record of negotiating with Voice Agents and Studio Partners
  • Knowledge of contracts and legal agreements
