  • a keen design eye, specifically in typography
  • a desire to uncover the best illustration talent

As well as running a variety of book projects, the candidate will be helping with the day-to-day support of design work and design admin across the business.

This candidate will play a key role within our hard-working and dedicated team to bring our books to the world. We’re looking for a driven individual who is excited by the Magic Cat ethos and the creative opportunities to innovate within the children’s industry that our growing independent house can offer.

Responsibilities would include:

  • Managing the development of content-rich book layouts from conception to delivery under the Art Director’s guidance.
