Junior Account Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for a Junior Account Manager with excellent organisational, time-management, communication and administrative skills who has a passion for books and a desire to develop a successful career within the publishing industry.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with excellent customer service and communication skills who loves a challenge.  Previous experience in the publishing industry is welcomed.

DUTIES

Your duties and responsibilities as Junior Account Manager include:

  • Develop and maintain the day-to-day relationships of a portfolio of retailer and distributor accounts.
  • Ensure that all orders are processed, invoices are raised, and sales data is uploaded and maintained accurately.
  • Provide excellent customer service including handling adhoc enquiries and resolving any issues.
  • Monitor customer orders from the warehouse to ensure stock is released on time and that all customer commitments are met.
  • Deliver sales and inventory reports for customers in a timely manner.
  • Feed into the forecasting and budgeting process, monitor sales against forecast and ensure your targets are met.
  • Act as the liaison and key contact between Production and the Studio for customer project delivery.
  • Identify new opportunities within your customer base or wider market to maximise sales and highlight them with your line manager.
  • Attend customer meetings and book fairs.

IDEAL CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience working with customers, preferably within a sales environment.
  • Excellent administrative skills with the ability to handle a large and varied workload.
  • The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Excellent written, numeracy and verbal communication skills.
  • Intermediate/Advanced use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
