Senior/Managing Editor

Our client is a leading children’s publisher based in Central London and is now looking for a new member to join their team on a Senior Editor or Managing Editor level. This is an excellent opportunity for a children's editor looking for a new role to manage a list of creative and innovative children’s books.

Key duties:

  • Manage the planning and editorial development of the publishing programme alongside the Publisher
  • Working closely with the Design Manager manage the editorial and design content
  • Oversee the timely delivery of all book plans and projects on budget
  • Identify and develop new creative publishing opportunities

Experience / skills required:

  • Established editorial experience within children’s publishing
  • Good track record of managing a variety of projects and delivering them according to schedule and agreed budget
  • Strategic and commercial awareness
  • Excellent communication and organisation skills and an eye for detail
  • Experience of managing a team
