Managing Editor

The UK’s leading publisher of licensed TV, movie and gaming publishing and original genre fiction is looking for a Managing Editor to join its Fiction Editorial team.

The Managing Editor will play a central role in shaping the forward publishing programme and be responsible for overseeing the editorial process for the fiction list, from the initial identification of potential new projects, drafting and agreeing project schedules with the editors, editing of key manuscripts and liaison with agents and licensors globally.

As Managing Editor, you must have previous experience working on a wide variety of trade fiction titles, and have the ability to manage each schedule effectively to ensure both internal and external deadlines are met successfully.

The ideal candidate will be a confident communicator with a good knowledge of genre fiction and an interest in licensed publishing. A good working knowledge of InDesign is essential.
