Associate Publisher

Are you an experienced Associate Publisher from a non-fiction background who has worked across highly illustrated books. This type of opportunity does not come up everyday and will be ideal for someone with significant experience working with artists and photographers and can make content come alive with illustration.

Our client, an independent health & lifestyle publisher based in London with international offices are looking for a Associate Publisher who has ambition and drive; who loves to project-manage and take ownership and responsibility off the book process and a small team.

Our client is looking for someone who is proactive, creative and has an existing knowledge of photographers and artists. The suitable candidate will know where to look for interesting and evocative imagery, with experience in image clearance and the ability to take a manuscript and translate it into an understandable brief for external designers and illustrators, ensuring there is visual cohesion across the list. You will need to understand quality design and be able to draw the best out of contributors.

With this role there is the line management of an Editorial Assistant along with managing the workloads of numerous external contributors - This is an amazing opportunity to work with a small publishing team and amazing content and to be apart of a fantastic list producing between 7 to 10 titles per year.
