Managing Editor - Children's Publishing -12 Months FTC

A highly respected, global publisher of illustrated non-fiction is looking for an experienced and motivated Managing Editor to work on their successful children’s list.  This is a super opportunity to work on some truly amazing lists and a wide range of subjects and be part of an innovative and friendly team.

The Managing Editor will be responsible for managing and developing a large team of Editors, ensuring books are brought in on schedule and to budget, working with your design partner.  You will present titles at launches and sales fairs, and work closely with production, sales, marketing and other departments. Other responsibilities will involve quality controlling every spread for every book and all jackets and develop presentation work on future titles.

This is an ideal role for someone who has a solid understanding of children’s publishing, who is an experienced editor with a strong eye for detail.  You will be creative with a good sense of what works for children’s illustrated books, with the ability to juggle multiple deadlines and an understanding of current completion and trends.
