Managing Editor (ELT)

A leading educational publisher is looking for a Managing Editor to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced editor to oversee a number of ELT projects. This is a fixed term contract and will be based in London.

 

Key duties:

  • Manage the planning and content management of multicomponent educational projects
  • Ensure that all materials are to high quality and meet market standards
  • Coordinate with in-house and external editorial teams to keep projects on schedule and to budget
  • Understand the Investment Approval process and assist the Publisher in the cost schedule preparation

Experience / skills required:

  • Solid editorial/production editorial experience within educational publishing is essential, ideally with ELT
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritizing efficiently
  • Excellent communication skills and experience coordinating with other departments
  • Good knowledge of the print and digital publishing process and a positive attitude
  • Knowledge of the ELT markets and experience of ELT teaching would be an advantage
