Academic Sales Consultant – Northern England
We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an Academic Sales Consultant. You would be working with a wider sales team to promote products and learning solutions to higher education institutions across your territory
Duties of the role include:
- Identify, build and maintain relationships with key institutions through calling and visits
- Win digital and textbook adoptions across your territory
- Follow up with lecturers to ensure all potential adopted textbook titles are discussed and objections are handled effectively
- Gather information on courses at higher learning institutions and report on key trends
- Develop solid product knowledge across the range of products sold
- Attend conferences and sales meetings to ensure knowledge sharing and training is kept up to date
- Create business strategy to ensure financial targets are met for each key account
- Maintain and update sales CRM system to ensure timely and accurate sales data
Skills required:

- Previous sales experience within academic publishing
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work both independently and part of a team
Excellent remuneration package including bonus and car allowance.
