Our client, a highly respected trade publishing house has created a brand new and exciting post for an experienced marketing person to join their marketing team as Marketing Director to lead all marketing activities for their mass market fiction adult & children’s books and commercial non-fiction publishing.
The Marketing Director reports to the Group Sales Director and as well as leading the marketing department, the press & PR department will also report directly to them.
This role is with one of the UK’s fastest growing publishers which has a great reputation and very ambitious growth plans. This Company publishes the best commercial fiction and non-fiction writers across the most popular adult and children’s genres.
The Marketing Director will also have the opportunity to work on the wider marketing activities companywide, as well as build and develop their own dedicated marketing team and be fully involved in book and author acquisition.
This publisher is looking for someone creative with a great can-do attitude. You’ll need to commercially minded, willing to be hands-on and have proven marketing experience working with some of the leading mass market bestselling authors.
For this role the publisher tells us they will also consider talented individuals who perhaps have not yet had the opportunity for advancement to this senior level of role up to now.
Your role will include leading, creating and developing and implementing marketing plans for selected commercial titles in line with the Company strategy and budgets. Your role also involves working with all the creative aspects of marketing; media, traditional, online, digital, broadcast, print and liaising with media buying agencies/ third party agencies to deliver highly effective campaigns that result in sales.
The salary range for this Central London based post is very attractive and will depend on the level of experience you bring to the role.
