Marketing Manager, 3 month FTC (Academic Publishing)

A leading academic publisher is looking for a Marketing Manager to devise and implement fully integrated marketing campaigns for the open access books programme. This is a great opportunity for someone with excellent marketing skills and who is passionate about open access publishing and books publishing. This is an interim role to start asap and for 3 months with possible extensions.

 

Key duties:

  • Manage the open access books and journal and open data programme marketing providing a clear vision to deliver the marketing strategy against business objectives
  • Generate submissions from new and existing customers authors, researchers & readers to drive usage and readership and to increase registered users
  • Deliver monthly forecasting, campaign costing and to work within agreed budgets
  • Manage, analyse and report on ROI of marketing campaign activities
  • Assist in the development and implementation of the customer engagement strategy
  • Attend conferences and events, engaging with customers and end-users when needed
  • Key relationship management with authors, editors and other key external stakeholders as required

Experience / skills required:

  • Strong understanding and experience of working within the publishing industry or allied field
  • Strong data and analysis skills
  • Proven marketing experience of developing creative and innovative marketing strategies and results-orientated campaigns
  • Experienced in staff management
  • Strong relationship building skills an influencing skills
