Our client, a highly successful Educational Publisher, is looking for a Marketing Manager (Projects) to drive and deliver commercially focused marketing projects. This role will be based in the in the company's fantastic offices in the heart of the beautiful Lake District in Cumbria.
As Marketing Manager you will have responsibility for delivering commercial projects resulting in sales growth and increased market share. This is a varied and exciting role that will work across a range of marketing projects. Responsibilities might include (amongst others):
- Ownership, management and delivery of key commercial projects
- Negotiating new retail customer contracts, launching online subscription products, developing digital marketing strategies etc.
- Producing detailed project plans including budgets and forecasts, monitoring progress meticulously
- Working enthusiastically with colleagues, and potentially external contacts, to deliver projects on time, on budget and to high standards
- Communicating effectively to senior management on project progress
- Identifying opportunities for improvement within the business and suggesting potential new commercial projects
The ideal Marketing Manager (Projects) will be a commercial thinker that enjoys making things happen by working collaboratively with colleagues. You will have top-notch data analysis skills, as well as excellent communication (written and verbal) and project management skills. A positive, friendly and self-motivated approach are all equally important. You may not be from a Sales or Marketing background but with the right commercial drive and people skills, this could be the ideal role for you.
