Marketing Manager

A leading membership body devoted to disseminating research and best practice in surgery is hiring for a newly-created role of Marketing Manager! Based in Windsor, our client is a leading provider of first class education, learning resources, journals and other publications that champion pioneering research in the surgical field globally.

Overview of the role:

The Marketing Manager will come into the team to implement a cohesive marketing strategy to redesign their email campaigns and improve cross-promotion of the association's activities. You will report into the Publications Director and work closely with an external marketing agency which support the company's social media, copywriting and other marketing and communications efforts.

Key accountabilities:

  • Acting as main point of contact for internal marketing activities and for the external comms agency
  • Design and implement effective email marketing campaigns, ensuring content aligns with the wider marketing plan and meets brand, tone, and messaging guidelines
  • Writing relevant and creative copy for e-blasts to maximise engagement with target audience
  • Analysing campaign performance across all metrics and make data-driven adjustments to improve results
  • Working to improve conversion rates utilising Use A/B testing to refine email content
  • Identifying and pursuing opportunities for cross promotion and collaboration within the wider association
  • Managing mailing lists and action bounce backs and requests to unsubscribe



Person Specification


This role will suit someone who can combine creativity and analytical skills, and be able to advise strategically on improvements to a multi-channel marketing plan. You should have solid experience in email marketing including designing and analysing campaigns, and excellent communications skills to be able to interface with internal colleagues, external agencies, and international surgeons.

Candidates will ideally possess a CIM Level 6 qualification or similar.
