Marketing Manager
A prestigious academic publisher in central London is looking for a Marketing Manager to oversee the marketing of their journals platform in EMEA and Latin America. You will work with a range of stakeholders globally and there will be some travel in the UK and overseas. Key duties:
- Take responsibility for driving marketing and sales initiatives in EMEA and Latin America
- Develop in depth knowledge of the needs of customers in the assigned territories and the sales models associated with academic journals and Open Access
- Partner with EMEA sales colleagues to leverage opportunities and be the local lead for pricing and journal-specific questions
- Analyse journals data and use it to identify new business and upsell/cross-sell opportunities
- Regularly report on product progress with key stakeholders
- Liaise with US based marketing colleagues on the global marketing strategy for the product and devise regional campaigns
- Travel to conferences and customer meetings within the assigned territories
Experience / skills required:
- Proven marketing experience, ideally in academic or journal publishing
- Experience successfully implementing marketing campaigns to drive sales
- Experience managing a budget and tracking and reporting on KPI results
- Knowledge of the sales models associated with academic journals and Open Access would be a plus
