Marketing Manager

Our client is a prestigious scientific society looking for a Marketing Manager to generate sales leads and subscription revenue for their portfolio of renowned science journals. The role holder will devise and execute marketing campaigns to raise awareness of the journals amongst end users in the academic and corporate markets globally.

Key duties:

  • Plan and implement marketing campaigns to raise awareness of science journals amongst end users and decision makers in the academic and corporate markets
  • Develop a systematic framework for generating sales leads and growing the database of prospects
  • Take joint responsibility for the digital marketing strategy
  • Oversee marketing data, analytics and reporting
  • Research new marketing channels and make recommendations for employing them
  • Manage the institutional marketing budget
  • Organise and attend promotional events

Experience / skills required:

  • Relevant marketing experience, ideally gained in an academic or subscription publishing environment
  • Experience of generating leads and driving subscription revenue
  • Strong IT skills and familiarity with marketing software, including Google Analytics and email campaign software
  • A marketing qualification or equivalent
  • Strong planning and budgeting skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and copy-writing skills
