Are you a creative marketeer with a passion for children's books and an apt for direct-to-consumer marketing strategies? If so, we have a very exciting vacancy for you! We are working with an award winning trade publisher who are looking to appoint a Marketing Manager to cover parent leave for 12 months and work on their fabulous children's list, ranging across YA, illustrated fiction, and picture books
This role is based in their office in Central London, with a min. of 2 days a week in the office.
Main duties:
- Planning and delivering creative marketing campaigns that drive awareness to the brand, the books and the authors
- Researching the audience to shape marketing pitch and tailor the consumer message, as well as identifying the relevant media partnerships
- Briefing designers and coordinating freelancers' work
- Creating and implementing content strategies for author social channels and websites
- Exploring new digital opportunities to maximise marketing reach
- Sharing best practice around effectively presenting books on retailer online platforms
We're looking for an ambitious marketing professional with experience of managing campaigns (preferably in the publishing or creative industries), who will demonstrate enthusiasm and innovation in finding new impactful ways to promote these amazing books. You should have a good understanding of direct to consumer strategies and social media marketing, together with strong copywriting skills and an eye for design. Furthermore, it would be beneficial to have know-how of building new partnerships with external brands.
