Marketing Manager (Journals)

A leading academic publisher in central London has a new opportunity for a Marketing Manager to join their Journals Marketing department. You will use a multi-channel approach to develop marketing activities that reach authors and readers across the globe. This role would suit someone with an interest in academic and scientific research and who would like to join a global company that offers real career progression and training opportunities. 
 
Key duties:
•    Create and implement effective multi-channel campaigns for a portfolio of journals
•    Manage digital marketing campaigns, including email, PPC, banner advertising and social media
•    Write original and creative marketing copy for campaigns 
•    Manage relationships with a range of internal stakeholders, as well as editors, authors and society staff
•    Present marketing activities and future plans at editorial meetings and contribute to proposals for new journal partnerships
•    Test new strategies and review plans on an ongoing basis and advise on new marketing trends and best practice
•    Manage the annual marketing budget for your portfolio of journals 
•    Delegate tasks to junior marketing colleagues
•    Represent the company at events and conferences

 

Experience / skills required:
•    Solid digital marketing experience and knowledge of trends
•    Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills 
•    Results oriented and not afraid to try new things 
•    An interest in academic and scientific publishing and research would be a plus
