We have a brand new role for a Marketing and Publicity Manager to join an independent publisher of books in wellbeing and non-fiction for adults based in Central London. Wellbeing is one the most successful and needed genres in the market across the globe right now and we are seeking an experienced. passionate and innovative Marketing & Publicity Manager who is great at creating campaigns, content, selling the story of the book and creating fantastic exposure so that consumers can find and buy these much needed books.
This is an exciting and varied role with responsibility for promoting your assigned titles to the media, as well as working alongside the Sales and Marketing Director to promote key titles. You will also be responsible for managing a small team and budgets for all the campaigns!
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing, implementing and managing print and online publicity campaigns
- People management- 3 direct reports and freelancers
- budget management
- Planning and organising author events; and build lasting relationships with both authors and press
- Managing a small team across all areas of communications, PR and Marketing
- Writing effective pitches and attend pitch meetings
You will be a confident communicator, with a strong network, experienced in managing campaigns and able to prioritise a busy workload. Ideally, you will have solid experience in trade marketing and publicity and will be highly confident and organised, with the ability to plan and implement creative and innovative media campaigns.
