Marketing Specialist (Events)

An established STM society publisher in central London has an exciting new opportunity for a Marketing Specialist to join their team. Your focus will be on providing assistance in the marketing of conferences, workshops and webinars to ensure revenue and strategic targets are met.

Key duties:

  • Organise targeted e-communication campaigns to maximise attendance
  • Assist with the smooth running of events on the day to ensure a professional approach
  • Identify advertising opportunities to promote events and related products
  • Build relationships with internal and external colleagues and stakeholders
  • Manage and regularly update the website and use social media to drive customer engagement
  • Analyse customer data to ensure a targeted approach

Experience / skills required:

  • Experience of working within an events market
  • Experience of using databases and web content management systems
  • Proven track record of working across several projects simultaneously
  • Experience of implementing e-marketing and print campaigns for new and existing products
  • Excellent copywriting, verbal communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Deadline driven with a high level of attention
