Our client is a leading professional membership body based in the City of London - they are now seeking a Media Relations Executive to join their team responsible for generating print, broadcast and online media coverage for the organisation.
Working closely with the Head of Corporate Communications and the Senior Relations Manager, the Media Relations Executive will be responsible for generating coverage for the membership body in the UK national media through placing stories, distributing press releases, arranging interviews and drafting features with individual journalists. This role will be responsible for writing a daily bulletin, briefing documents, press releases and reports as well as acting as a contact for journalists.
The successful candidate will have superb writing and proofreading skills with some experience in writing press releases and generating media coverage. An understanding across a broad range of media would be an advantage, as well as strong social media knowledge with a familiarity of using tools like blogs as a PR tool.
