Medical Guidelines Coordinator

We are working with a leading membership society that publish scientific content for medical professionals, who are now looking for someone with strong scientific writing/research experience to join their Guidelines division and support the development and management of a range of content for guidelines and protocols.

The role can be almost entirely home-based, though the company does have a lovely office in Windsor!

Responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring the Guidelines portfolio, tracking individual projects and reporting on progress
  • Getting manuscripts ready for publication, ensuring they adhere to rigid scientific standards
  • Collaborating on the creation of specific task forces relating to guidelines, membership and governance
  • Supporting the Guidelines committee with a series of strategic and administrative tasks to aid the development of the Guidelines series and other scientific documents
  • Liaising with other societies working on joint collaborations

This is a hands-on role requiring solid knowledge of life sciences or health-related disciplines, and an understanding of scientific writing and research methodologies (including referencing). You might have developed research and analytical skills through graduate work, or come from a similar science writing background, but you will be able to demonstrate knowledge of scientific manuscript preparation, referencing and bibliographic requirements.

For a full description of the role, please send your CV with a brief paragraph outlining your relevant skills.

Closing Date: Early applications may be prioritised.
